2019 PumpkinFest is Almost Here!

A whole month of fun starts with the Kick-Off Pumpkin Festival Weekend - Saturday and Sunday, October 5 & 6, 2019. Discount Pre-Sale Tickets are now available online. After Festival weekend, PumpkinFest continues through the entire month of October. 

For the safety of all animals, dogs are not permitted on the premises (with the exception of service dogs).

Pumpkin Festival Opening Ceremonies

Join us 11am Saturday morning October 5th at the gazebo to kick-off the ‘Season of Orange’ Celebrating California Agriculture. There will be live music provided by the Cal Poly Pomona Pep Band, greetings from Cal Poly Pomona as well as local officials, and an appearance by the official festival mascots.

Huge Pumpkin Patch!

Our Pumpkin Patch will remain open the whole month of October starting October 5. It is known as one of the largest in California. Over 40,000 Cal Poly Pomona grown pumpkins fill the huge patch. 

There is NO FEE TO ENTER the Pumpkin Patch AFTER the kick-off festival weekend, however, fees apply for other activities.

Petting Farm

We have some of the cutest and friendliest petting animals around! Starting October 5th the Petting Farm will be open all weekends in October to cuddle and feed. We also offer opportunities for Birthday Parties and Mobile Visits to your event.

Pony and Horse Rides

Take a ride around the corral on an adorable pony or horse!
A special photo booth will be set up for those who would like to purchase pictures of their loved ones on a pony or horse.
Pony and horse rides are open every weekend in October starting October 5, 2019. Please check back for more information. 

Corn Maze

A crazy web of twisting, turning trails that will leave you scratching your head searching for the way out. This corn is more than 12 feet high and not for the faint of heart, but don’t worry there’s Always a way out. Enjoy the fun treasure hunt and find all the markers spread throughout the labyrinth to solve the puzzle. The Corn Maze closes at dusk (approximately 5:30pm).

New! Night Maze (starts Oct. 11)

Opens Fridays and Saturdays after dark starting October 11th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Challenging by day, The Corn Maze turns absolutely frightful by night. Bring or purchase a flashlight, or brave the dark as you explore every spooky turn. Is something out there, or just your imagination?
*This attraction is suitable for children 8 and older, under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or adult.
A separate Night Maze admission fee is required. Check back for more details.

Hay Wagon Rides

Enjoy touring the AGRIscapes farm on a hay wagon ride pulled by one of our Antique Tractors that circles the Corn Maze and some of the growing fields. Your student tour guide will share some info on things going on at the farm. Hay Wagon Rides close at dusk (approximately 6:00pm).

Insect Fair

The Popular Insect Fair will be part of the Pumpkin Festival (October 5th and 6th only)again this year in the AGRIscapes Visitor Center. Come see thousands of live and preserved California and exotic insects from around the world. Hosted by the student Agriculture Biology Club, it’s not only fun and educational but a great fundraiser for student activities. Separate admission fee required.

Tasty and healthy treats, face painting, fun games, and cute things to wear are just some of the things for sale by our clubs. Your purchases support our future Ag Leaders.
Clubs will be set up on Festival Weekend only, October 5th and 6th.

Ag Discovery Lane

Keeping with our theme “Celebrating California Agriculture”, Ag Discovery Lane is a Family-Fun area included with the price of admission. Agriculture related exhibits and displays include: Antique Farm Tractors & Equipment, Animal Displays, Home Gardening Demonstrations and a Kids Farm with a squash tunnel and fun interactive play for those 10 and under.

Also included are several interesting and fun demonstrations including Cow-Milking, Sheep Shearing, Bee Keeping, Fabric Weaving and More!

Ag Discovery Lane will be open Festival Weekend only, October 5th and 6th.

Entertainment and Contests

Our beautiful Gazebo is the focal point for Live Entertainment, Crazy Contests and Story-Telling all day long during Festival Weekend, October 5th and 6th! Located near the food court, the surrounding grass area is a great place to relax, eat some tasty food and listen to our wonderful musicians. Be sure to make time to cheer on your favorite contestants as they spit seeds, devour Pumpkin Pie and show-off their costumes.  

Pumpkin Festival Contest Schedule: All Contests will be held at the Gazebo both Saturday and Sunday, unless otherwise indicated.

Sign-ups for Contests will be at the Gazebo in the Pumpkin Patch.
Entries are Limited and it’s First Come First Served. 

NEW! Duck Races

Get your Quack on and compete to be the Fastest Duck Racer at the Festival. Six contestants work an Old Fashioned Water Pump as fast as you can to propel your Rubber Duckie to victory!  Fee to play with prizes for the winner.

The Festival Food Court will be filled with tasty offerings to please anyone. From Tacos and Bar-B-Que to Festival Treats, Pumpkin Pie & Funnel Cake, there’s plenty to fill any appetite. Other snack options will be stationed around the event.

Food options will be limited after Festival Weekend, October 5th and 6th.

Farm Store

CPP Farm Store

The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store sells a selection of the best Cal Poly grown produce and fruit straight off the Farm. We also have a variety of gourmet food and snack items for you to enjoy. 

The Farm Store is open daily from 10am-6pm.
*Note: Access to the Farm Store on October 5th and 6th, 2019 requires admission to the Pumpkin Festival. Public parking will be located across Temple Ave.
