Claremont Village Freedom 5000 5K/1K | 7:30 a.m. / 8:00 a.m. / 8:05 a.m. The Annual Claremont Village Freedom 5000 1K/5K is a family friendly event that kicks off the Fourth of July Celebration in the City of Claremont. The event features a 1K Kids Run, a 5K Competitive Race Walk, and a 5K Run through the scenic tree-lined streets of Claremont. 1K/5K Route Map Race Fees: Pre-registration 5K Run/Walk - Ages 13 and Over ............$35 Pre-registration 5K Run/Walk - Ages 12 and Under ..........$25 Pre-registration 1K Kids Fun Run - Ages 12 and Under....$15 July 3 and Race Day registration 5K Run/Walk - Ages 13 and Over......$40 July 3 and Race Day registration 5K Run/Walk - Ages 12 and Under....$30 July 3 and Race Day registration 1K Kids Fun Run - Ages 12 and Under..$20 Make sure to register early. Pre-registration ends July 2 at 11:59 PM. All pre-registered participants will receive a performance fabric t-shirt. Medals will be given to the first 3 individuals in each division. New running shoes are given to the first male and female overall winners. All children who participate in the 1K will receive a medal. Register Here! Flag Raising Ceremony | 10:00 a.m. The Flag Raising Ceremony takes place at the flagpole located on the west side of the park and marks the official beginning of the festival. |
T. Willard Hunter Speakers Corner | 10:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. In order to celebrate our country's First Amendment Right, Speakers Corner provides a forum for citizens in our community to speak their minds on any subject from personal to global. Past speeches have focused on politics, religion, history, travel, and personal fulfillment. Age is no barrier. Previous orators have ranged in age from 5 years to over 80. Speakers' time slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and must be pre-arranged. T. Festival Booths & Tables | Information, Game and Selling Booths (NON-PROFIT ONLY) 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Food Booths (NON-PROFIT ONLY) 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. In the tradition of a hometown event, the festival features over 50 nonprofit groups providing food, information, games and a wide variety of items for sale. A complete list of all groups and their locations will be available at the Independence Day Committee information booth, just north of Garner House. The Festival is sponsored by John Elway's Claremont Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. Please note that there are NO DOGS allowed at the Festival at Memorial Park. |

Parade | 3:00 p.m. Begins at Tenth Street and Indian Hill Blvd., goes south on Indian Hill Blvd., turns right on Harrison Avenue and concludes at Larkin Park. The parade is sponsored by Claremont Lincoln University. |
Concert & Fireworks Show | 6:30 p.m. Pomona College Strehle Track Live Concert featuring "The Ravelers," Fireworks Show and Kiwanis BBQ. Tickets can be purchased beginning June 1 at the following locations: Alexander Hughes Community Center, City Hall, the Claremont Club, Vons, and Wolfe’s Market. Tickets are $10.
