Readers of all ages can sign-up at covinaca.beanstack.org or visit the library for a paper reading log. The Read Beyond the Beaten Path Program is available for Children, Teens, and Adults. Check out the different programs below.
CHILDREN'S SUMMER READING PRGRAM
The Summer Reading Program is a FREE program that encourages children to read, or be read to, throughout the summer. This program is designed for children ages 0 to 12 and their families/caregivers. The program will run from Tuesday, June 14 to Saturday, July 23.
To participate:
• Log at least 2 hours of reading each week throughout the program for a total of 12 hours.
• For every 2 hours logged, you will earn a badge and a virtual ticket which can be placed into a ticket drawing.
• You may participate in optional activities including book reviews, virtual activities, and in-person activities at the Covina Public Library to earn additional tickets.
• Any book, audiobook, e-book, etc. is acceptable.
• All reading logged counts toward the total reading goal. Everyone who completes the full 12 hours of reading will also receive an invite to the Summer Reading Program Finale event on July 30.
Ticket drawing winners will be contacted via email and prizes may be picked up at the Covina Public Library's service desk from Tuesday, August 2 to Saturday, August 13. Please keep an eye out on the Library's social media for more information.
TEEN SUMMER READING PROGRAM
The Summer Reading Program is a FREE program that encourages teens to read and engage in recreation activities throughout the summer. This program is geared towards teens ages 13-17. The program will run from Tuesday, June 14 to Saturday, July 23.
To participate:
• Log at least 2 hours of reading each week throughout the program for a total of 12 hours.
• For every 2 hours logged, you will earn a badge and a virtual ticket which can be placed into drawings for real prizes.
• You may participate in optional activities including book reviews, virtual activities, and in-person activities at the Covina Public Library to earn additional tickets.

• For every 2 hours logged, you will earn a badge and a virtual ticket which can be placed into drawings for real prizes.
• You may participate in optional activities including book reviews, virtual activities, and in-person activities at the Covina Public Library to earn additional tickets.
• Any book, audiobook, e-book, etc. is acceptable.
• All reading logged counts toward the total reading goal of 100,000 minutes logged by the Covina community. Everyone who completes the full 12 hours of reading will also receive an invite to the Summer Reading Program Finale event on July 30.
