Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment Review

April 27, 2019

The Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment show is a fun family event for kids of all ages who love Disney stories and songs as it’s integrated with the beauty and complexity of ice skating. The show tells the story of Toy Story 3 where Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, Slinky Dog, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Rex and Barbie are accidentally donated to a day care center as their owner Andy prepares to leave for college. My kids loved how the toys were brought to life especially Slinky Dog and Rex. The auditorium erupted in laughter when the children of the day care came after the toys and Mrs. Potato Head loses her body parts.

Next, the story of The Little Mermaid followed Ariel as she finds love with Prince Eric. There were fan favorite sing along songs such as “Part of Your World” and “Kiss the Girl” from Little Mermaid. The sea creature costumes especially Ursula entering the ice and bubbles that fell from the sky were loved by the kids.

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse then came into the scene driving their car but it broke down on the ice. Tow Mater come out with the other cars like Lightning McQueen, Sally and Ramone to help save the day and start their car. The audience was amazed as the cars were driving and sliding on the ice as if they were ice skating.

The second half of the show centered on Frozen with Anna, Elsa and Olaf. Kids loved the snow that fell around the arena to portray the blizzard that Elsa created in Arendelle while singing “Let it Go” and everyone was humored by Olaf’s antics as he sang “Summer.”

Something that never gets old is the finale with all the characters in the show coming back to skate together and it is always a crowd pleaser. You won’t be disappointed if you come to the show and will love the fun songs, ice skating, and costumes of these loved Disney stories and characters.
