Octonauts Live! - Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure!
"Explore! - Rescue! - Protect!"
The Octonauts are a team of undersea adventurers who are always ready to dive into action! Their mission is to explore new underwater worlds, rescue amazing sea creatures and protect the ocean. This is exactly what you get on this amazing show that is targeted to toddlers 0-6yrs old and older kids/adults that are fan of the Octonauts! The 2 hour theater adventure features the entire crew that any Octonaut fan is familiar: Captain Barnacles, Lieutenant Kwazii Kitten, Peso Penguin, Dashi (Sauci) Dog, Tweak Bunny, Professor Inkling Octopus, Shellington Sea Otter and Tunip the Vegimal!
My kids were totally engaged by the life-size Octonauts characters, the human character that was interacting with the public and the puppets that were used for the sea creatures! The kids pretend to maneuver the underwater vehicle using body movements and sing and help the Octonauts complete their mission. There was a right balance of drama and comedy with kept them interested. The plot revolved around volcano rescue and similar to their TV show, you get to see and learn about some of the sea creatures. I won't provide any more details of the plot, as I don't want to spoil it for you.
My only complain was that I was not able to bring into the theater my DSLR camera. This is not a fault of the show itself, but I had to go back to my car as they won't let me bring it into the theater. You can bring your phone with camera to take photos, but for some reason no DSLR camera. So my suggestion is not to bring any bulky camera.
My other suggestion will be to track your own time during intermission. There is no courtesy reminders or warnings that the show is about to start after the time is up. Other than that the show was everything you expect to see from an Octonaut show. You and your kids enjoy an exciting underwater adventure and will be singing and dancing to the Octonaut songs with the entire crew!
And for the ones of you familiar with the show song, I can't help to end with singing...
"We're done with our mission, Octonauts at ease. Until our next adventure!!!!"
