I have never done eyelash extensions before. Since I didn't want to wear mascara everyday, I wanted to get my eyelashes extended. I decided to go with Amazing Lash Studio because it is one of the ones in the area that are experts in eye lash extensions and have their own products and techniques patented.
As a stay-at-home mom I take my younger ones everywhere I go, not just going out shopping, but also to the salon so I can get a haircut and color, or the nail parlor for a mani and pedi. I normally do not have the luxury of me-time by myself. So, I took along two of my children with me because I knew they had individual rooms that accommodated each customer. It was a mistake taking them there. So, to all the moms out there DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS there. Initially they did not allow me to take my kids in the room due to safety hazard. So, I had to leave my 2 and 5 year old in the lobby, which was obviously a mistake. Thirty minutes later I had a crying child and an angry manager asking me to sign a waiver in regards to my children. So they reluctantly put my kids in the room with me.
Even though the end result was fabulous, it was very stressful at times with kids. Keep in mind that you will be lying there for 90-120 mins to get a full set of lashes put on (to refill its only about 60 mins). It was fairly easy to make an appointment and they are very helpful and courteous. Since it was my first time, they gave me pointers on how to prepare for the visit. I then got a called to confirm the appointment the day before and a text reminder on my phone. That really makes it easy for me to remember.
As soon as you walk in you immediately notice that this place was clean and modern. The pink Amazing Eyelash Studio sign and the display cases with products stands out against the white walls and counter-tops. The receptionist was very friendly and inviting. Once, I had all the proper forms filled out, my stylist Kim (aka Michelle) greeted me professionally and escorted me into a room to get my lashes done. She explained to me the process, and how their technique is patented.
Prior to starting, Kim showed me the different styles of lashes I can get. There are "4 Remarkable Lash Styles" to choose from. She recommended I went with the natural look. Which I agree since, I didn't wanted it to be too dramatic. She was knowledgeable and very detail oriented. She constantly was making sure nothing was too uncomfortable.
Kim was very nice and accommodating towards my little ones. She kept calm throughout the whole process. And still made me feel special and wasn't judgmental that I brought my kids. And for me this was huge.
After she was done, she walked us all out and gave us a run down on how to take care of the lashes so it would last longer. She did a fabulous job. My lashes had this cute curve at the end, which made me look very sexy. I loved it! The lashes lasted about three weeks and needed to be refilled. I do recommend this place because the prices are affordable and they are very professional.
