A new year, a new exhibit! 2017 is bringing a big change for Pretend City Children’s Museum as Trader Joe’s takes over one of the most popular exhibits in the museum; the grocery store.

Through the generous support of Trader Joe’s, Pretend City’s grocery store exhibit underwent a major remodel and the finished product looks like a Trader Joe’s store, on a kid-friendly scale.

“We are so excited to bring a Trader Joe’s grocery exhibit to help children throughout the neighborhood and beyond learn about the adventures in shopping” said Donnie Martin, Orange County Regional for Trader Joe’s.

Macaroni Kid had the chance to preview this exhibit last week and we were impressed of all the details in the store.

The store underwent a new transformation which included areas that resemble the real Trader Joe's store:

  • Interactive Registers (store bells and all!)
  • Trader Joe's Hawaiian shirts
  • Branded Products as props
  • New Displays and Shelvings
  • New Produce areas
Every single time we visit Pretend City, the grocery store is a must visit.  Playing pretend doesn't get any better with produce and products from mommy's favorite grocery store.
